The input speed sensor
(NIN) is installed in the transaxle case.
This sensor detects the
number of revolutions of the intermediate shaft's C2 drum as input shaft
speed.
This signal is
transmitted to the TCU. Based on those signals, the TCU controls engine
torque, shift timing, and lock-up.
